Meet our Church Team
Pastor Todd/”PT” as he is often known was born and raised in the Houston area in a pastor’s home. Pastor Todd comes from an extensive background in ministry having been trained under his father Dr. Charles Dunn, and having attended the Arlington Baptist University from 1982-1986.
Pastor Todd met the love of his life Michelle and they were married in July 1990 in Deer Park, Texas. The Lord has blessed Pastor Todd and Michelle with 3 awesome sons, Brady (Age 22) a senior at Dallas Baptist University, Blair (Age 18), a Freshman at Dallas Baptist University and Brett (Age 14). The entire family is actively involved in the ministry of 2nd Mile.
After serving as Student Pastors from 1992-1996 at the Rolling Hills Baptist Church in Lancaster, Texas, Pastor Todd and Michelle were called home to Deer Park to serve for 11 years as the Associate Pastor of the Central Baptist Church (their home church).
In November of 2007, the Lakewood Baptist Church of Irving, Texas extended a call for Pastor Todd to become the Senior Pastor of LBC and the Dunn family accepted the call and followed the Lord to serve in the DFW Metroplex at Lakewood.
Under the leadership of Pastor Todd, Lakewood did experience some growth, but over time the Lord began to plant the vision in PT’s heart to lead the church in relocation to Fort Worth and in December of 2017, the Lord blessed the church’s steps of faith by providing them a new home on Basswood Blvd, in FW.
The church would immediately begin a remodeling project to bring the newly acquired building up to date and on Easter Sunday 2018, the announcement was made that 2nd Mile would be the new church with the ministry of LBC coming to a close. 2nd Mile Church officially launched on Sunday August 26th, 2018 with 300 in attendance.
PT loves to share God’s Word each week , he loves to see people step out in faith and follow Christ. His desire is to see the ministry of 2nd Mile literally live out it’s name and go the second mile in service and ministry to the community.
Pastor Todd loves spending time with his family, loves watching sports and is an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and loves the NY Yankees ( please don’t hold that against him LOL) as his sister’s husband pitched for the Yankees for 18 seasons and old habits die hard.
PT and Michelle have been in full-time Christian ministry for 27 years.
Jaxon was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico but raised in Keller, Texas. He grew up loving sports and got involved with the Lakewood Baptist Church youth ministry in 2009. They Got married in March of 2018 and moved back to DFW in May to lead the youth of 2nd Mile Church. They are both passionate about developing young minds and their relationship with Jesus while giving them a family away from home in the process.
Bella was raised in a family of eight in suburban Los Angeles, California. Her passion for music was evident at a very early age, matched only by her passion for the Lord and her enormous servant’s heart.
She comes to 2nd Mile Church after leading worship for the past three years at Mercy Chapel in Westlake Village, CA. She graduated from Trinity Pacific Christian School in 2016.Her most recent work includes two years at Joni and Friends International Disability Center where she helped with Social and Digital Marketing.
Bella was blessed with an opportunity to lead worship with her cousin, Natasha Bure, at 2nd Mile’s Outbreak 2018. She immediately fell in love with the church and its mission. She thought “I’m home – this is where the Lord is calling me.”
Through prayer and seeking counsel from her parents (whom she counts as her most important mentors), pastors and peers, Bella made the decision to move to Fort Worth to serve as 2nd Mile’s Worship Director. Her desire and passion to lead others into fellowship with Christ is evident and she is excited and blessed to have this extraordinary opportunity to showcase her special talents.
